Salad with Bacon Dressing

Salad with Bacon Dressing


Iceberg Lettuce

Cut the lettuce in half and remove the core, quarter one half into four wedges.

Bacon Dressing

6 strips bacon diced
1 small onion diced
1 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/4 cup of red wine vinegar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon celery salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Fry the diced bacon with onion until crispy. Remove with slotted spoon, drain and cool for 5 minutes. This should be warm when added to the rest of the dressing. Combine olive oil, vinegar, celery salt, garlic powder and sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Add bacon and onion to the dressing mixture and pour over lettuce and croutons. Allow the dressing to drizzle down into the layers of the lettuce wedge.

For me, this could be the meal! My mom has made this. So I will give credit to her.
